First Trip to Europe
The sport that I've practiced (Archery) gave me so many chances in my professional and personal life, without the Archery those chances could be never happened, mainly by my economical situation.
One of them was my first and only trip (for the moment) to Europe, specifically to Germany and Turkey, I was very excited for this trip, I went to compete at the Stage 2 of the Archery World Cup at Antalya, Turkey, but I've arrived one week earlier to Berlin, Germany to prepare the competition and take some time to get used to the "jet lag", because we had 6 hours of difference with Santiago.
At the beginning of the trip, I was too tired because we flown nearly 24 hours from Santiago to Berlin, when we arrived I've received a big surprise, my uncle, aunt and cousins was waiting for me and for our team to carry us to the hotel where we stayed until the second part of the trip to Turkey.
In Berlin, we trained so hard for the preparation for the Championship that will happen at the following week, my family in Berlin was so glad for our visit, for the resting days my coach (he's born in Berlin) called to my aunt to take me and make a round across the city, Berlin is an amazing city.
Our last day in Berlin my family made a farewell dinner for the team, I want to go back someday, by my own or with a invitation of them.
Arriving in Turkey, we've arrived to an hotel that exceeded my expectations, that hotel was so big, my feeling was, I'm like a point compared to that immense place.
At the competition I've expected to make a good tournament, but I didn't practiced with whe wind factor and that gave me problems with my score, finally I've got a low ranking and I was eliminated at the firts round, I was very dissapointed whit my performance but the trip doesn't finished in that moment.
After my elimination I was free to do other activities and share experiences with archers from around the world, one day we had a lottery for all the archers and with my luck I've got the first prize, a dozen of arrows that cost $500 US dollars, for me was a big surprise and all the people in these hall still remember that moment.
After all, these trip was amazing, I hope to go back to my sport or have the chance by other way.
