My Favourite Piece of Technology

Since I was a child, I had a close relationship with the technology, my father (he was working at the Ministry of Education) made an experiemnt with a new software to learn to read called "Abrapalabra", with that software I've learned to read at 3 years old, that was the beginning of my relationship, but mainly with my computer, that device is a fundamental part of my professional development, specially because that device helped me to get all my knowledges and skills in so many areas as architecture and sports, I've never had a Personal Computer of my property until 2014.


One of the most important skill that I've get was learning to use the program "Sketchup" since 2007, that was one of the main inspirations to make the decision to study architecture, this progran helped me to make various works in Taller and some payed works that helped me to finally get my current PC in 2014.



As you can see the PC is my favourite piece of technology because helped me to reach many of my personal goals.

There in the Internet we have a lot of websites related to our program like Archdaily, but my favourite is http://www.skyscrapercity.com/ This website was created in September of 2002 and counts with +900.000 users around the world. It's a forum where the people can talk about skyscrapers, urbanistic and other projects or updates for buidings under construction. The site are distributed in various forums (nearby one million)(98 million of posts) divided in themes and cathegories, as Sport and Stadiums (my favourite), Infraestrucutre in Mobility, talks about the cities and it's urban scheme. The forum where I'm involved for the moment it's related about Stadiums and Sport Arenas, there I can find the uptates of construction for the future Olympic Games and the process from it's approval until the construction it's finished and their doors are opened, now I visit the site every day to check the stage of construction of the New Tokyo National Stadium...

Family Olympic Games

I have a very close relationship with the family branch from my mom, specially my cousins, in 2007 we had a lot of though moments with the death of several of my great uncles and  my mom had the idea of a great family reunion one month later after that, the reunion was a big success and made our family more closer, so then I had a idea but in another way, create a Family Olympic Games in the next year at our national holidays (September 18th and 19th) in the terrains of my family at Paine, following the Beijing Olympic Games. At first these idea didn't have a good reception but normally I don't give up easily and I've convinced all my family to try and they're support the idea, at September 18th we opened a new family tradition, those games had only three competitions, doesn't had a flame and medals yet but was a success and my family enjoyed it. Coming Back

Hi there, Cristóbal again, Now, I'll tell you about myselt but now, with more datails!! I'm Cristóbal Barra, 23 years from Santiago, former member of the Chilean Archery National Team (2012-2016), and currenly student of Architecture at the University of Chile. I'm studiyng Architecture since 2013, for me that taken a lot of time because I've tried to make a balance by the Architecture and the Archery, for that reason, I've stopped my studies in 2015 and 2016 to enter in the fight to compete at the 2015 Pan Am Games and the 2016 Olympic Games. The Archery is my favourite sport, I had the honor to represent Chile in 13 times, 10 of them outside Chile, and 4 of  the 10 mentioned was Stages of the Archery World Cup (Ogden, USA (1 Time), Antalya, Turkey (1 Time), Medellín Colombia (2 Times), the most important achievement as archer was the Bronze medal at the 2014 Santiago South American Games, as you can see the Archery in one of my passions.
