Family Olympic Games

I have a very close relationship with the family branch from my mom, specially my cousins, in 2007 we had a lot of though moments with the death of several of my great uncles and  my mom had the idea of a great family reunion one month later after that, the reunion was a big success and made our family more closer, so then I had a idea but in another way, create a Family Olympic Games in the next year at our national holidays (September 18th and 19th) in the terrains of my family at Paine, following the Beijing Olympic Games.

At first these idea didn't have a good reception but normally I don't give up easily and I've convinced all my family to try and they're support the idea, at September 18th we opened a new family tradition, those games had only three competitions, doesn't had a flame and medals yet but was a success and my family enjoyed it.

Originally the plan was make the games each year but in 2009 we had a lot of problems with logistics and we didn't met to make the games, so I decided with the rest of my family make the games every two years from 2010 and still working with that periods, the Second Family Olympic Games was a big success, we had 15 competitions and medals at last, personally was the best games until now, in 2012 was a success too, 2014 we make a more elaborated Olympic Cauldron (The upper photo), looked amazing, I 2016 we had some problems with the logistics and we made the games at December 31st, these games was very compact bu enough to make the family together under the Olympic Rings.

The last year my family had a lot of problems between some members and had break for some time, accompanied with the death of the head of our family my grandfather José Miguel Cisterna, was the thoughest moment for my family, but we are rebuilding the unity of my family again.

This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Family Olympic Games celebrating their sixth edition, I'm working to make these games as a big success, and keep my family united at least for the time when the flame will be lit, as you can see a family can the a whole world with conflicts and problems but some events can improve the relations and make a better world for all.
